Place of Remembrance

The town of Saint-Père-en-Retz is strongly committed to the duty of remembrance. In preparation for a future “Place of Remembrance,” honouring the men who fought for France, a work by Christian Guémy known as C215, a world-renowned stencil artist from the street-art scene was created on the town’s walls in 2024.

It depicts three icons of the Liberation and reflects our commitment to passing on this memory.

Christian Guémy’s work can be found in streets all around the world.
An engaged and socially conscious artist, he dedicates his art to humanism, to resisting hatred and intolerance, and to preserving Memory.
